This is what waterboarding looks like

This is the latest hilarity coming from the American Congress. To paraphrase - We officially support and recognise the validity of using torture for whatever reason we say.

Stolen from the internet
It seems not all the journalists and commentators in the US have fallen. Keith Olbermann speaks out on free-to-air tv.

Image conscious: Pentagon hires PR firm
Like when Jerry Bruckheimer of dozens of trashy action movies was brought on to help with the "Rescue mission for Jessica Lynch" telecast.

In other news i am trying to catch up on my lj reading. I have no idea where my iPod and headphones are. I can't find my DVD of Croupier or Steve Poltz live. I have two good shirts missing, one at whsiperer12s and one with LittleJosh. My Hellblazer comics are somewhere, and i am still looking for a weekend gig. I have been picking up shifts here and there, and it has meant that i have been able to actually pretend to have a life and have weekends again, but i am still aware that this is costing me money. Oh well.

And i hope that davidjohnstubbs had a great day at his wedding.

a) Unsure if you know what the show MYTHBUSTERS is. If not: It is a very strange television program on The Discovery Channel on which a handful of creative people test and put to rest several popular myths using various means, most of which include explosions. One myth they tested was Chinese Water Torture, which isn't exactly waterboarding, but is pretty damn close. After testing several authentic variations of this myth, everyone invloved walked away posiive that it was indeed torture. Certainly looked it.

b) Olbermann's Countdown program is required viewing. Every week night on MSNBC in the 7:00 central hour. Seriously, not to be missed. The man also has a book out which will be mine...

c) The perfect PR firm for the Defense Department (for me, at least...)

If the army was bright, they'd use the action girls as recruiters. Of course they may have to allow women to serve on the front first.

I know Mythbusters, haven't watched much of it, but it's a good show.

I actually saw that episode of MythBusters a couple weeks ago and was also going to mention it here.

Shirt will be with me next time I come. Also, remind me to tell you the latest on the apartment.... Suffice to say that Rachel haunts again.
