if i wanted to truly earn the tag non-achiever i certainly could by staying here.

i am getting NOTHING done.

I cannot think of one reason to stay here. Everyone else is giving me, "if you stay you get to see me." If i go somewhere else i get to see new people, because 90% or the people on The Street BORE ME.

Because of the bartenders getting trashed every night and giving drinks away there has been a huge discrepancy in liquor sales and purchasing, we now all have to pay full price for drinks. I cannot afford $4.50 for an import beer, and i am not drinking the fucking domestics. So i cannot afford to drink where i work. Awesome.

As usual it's me that gets fucked because of other people abusing the system. I am really tired of this happening over and over.

And the next person who suggests to me that i am getting laid because of my accent with probably get punched.

Well, then. Let me be the first to suggest you're getting laid because of your giant dick.

Always here to help,

This'll cheer you up a bit....
"He knew who I was, at that time, because I had a reputation as a writer. I knew he was part of the Bush dynasty. But he was nothing, he offered nothing, and he promised nothing. He had no humor. He was insignificant in every way and consequently I didn't pay much attention to him. But when he passed out in my bathtub, then I noticed him. I'd been in another room, talking to the bright people. I had to have him taken away."

-Hunter S. Thompson on meeting George W. Bush at his Super Bowl party in Houston in 1974.

You could always move on to the next place. I'm sure there were people who did the "stay here so you can see me" bit each place you've been. When you got here everyone was new & sorta-shiny(I am guessing, because I really have no idea, we've not talked much to each other...). Really, if there is nothing here for you, and you CAN go...do so. You are blessed to be able to do that. Life might be hard on you, but you get to live it sorta how you want. I wish that Bill and I didn't have legal obligations here, or we would probably be living overseas or something.

It has got to be so exciting to be able to just up and leave a place, just because you felt like it.

Here is one question to ask youself: Is it worth your happiness to stay somewhere you are not?

I dunno, just me two cents. :-)

Re: Well..
I think it's more a question of is it worth my sanity to stay somewhere i am not happy. If i am not happy.

Thank you for your two cents.

And bonk you on your head for making me read more drivel......oops, did I say that outloud? Anyway, get your ass to Caves. :):):)

I don't know why I keep posting. It's obvious you are going to get stuck over in the land of the burger & I'll never see you again.
Go somewhere that inspires you to engage. Don't waste life- it's precious.

Fear not, we will meet again!

Maybe you'll just have to come tour, South by Southwest is pretty popular - Missy Higgins came last year, the Waifs are regulars, and Kasey Chambers has been a few times. Perhaps it's time to take the Frencham Smith deal on the road big time. One of the professional musicians here said he nearly cried listening to "Four Strong Hands" while driving home.
